Valencia CF work with FEDER to raise awareness of Fragile X Syndrome

Luis Magro, a young Valencianista who suffers from Fragile X Syndrome, visited Mestalla this past week on behalf of the Fragile X Syndrome Association in Valencia.
Accompanied by his parents, the president of the association, Tomás Coronado, and Valencia CF ambassador, Miguel Tendillo, Luis was shown around the ground that he has attended many times as a fan, and got to step out onto the pitch.
The Fragile X Syndrome Association's fundamental purpose is to guide, facilitate, advise and collaborate with work in educational, health and scientific areas for the study and care of those with the disease.
Valencia CF, through the VCF Foundation, give visibility to the more than three million people who suffer from rare illnesses in Spain, creating a unique alliance with FEDER (Spain's rare disease federation).
It is hoped that, with these collaborations, more becomes known about these conditions which produce additional challenges for sufferers and researchers alike.
